On November 4, 2008, Californians for the first time will have the chance to vote on an initiative aimed at curbing global warming pollution and its harmful effects on the environment. Proposition 7 or also known as the Solar and Clean Energy Act of 2008 will require that power utilities produce and or sell at least 50% renewable energy by 2025. Power generation is responsible for 40% of the greenhouse gases in our atmosphere. We must take a bold step NOW and demand that ALL California utilities produce energy from clean alternatives like solar, wind, biomass, geothermal, and tidal.
